We considered repeating Evie's breeding to Abe (Ch. Weston's Cry for Freedom), which resulted in a singleton puppy in November of 2009. Since Evie missed her first breeding to Abe, and had only one puppy the second time, we took that as hint from the Universe and decided instead to breed her to our Abe son, Hunter. Hunter and Evie are very similar in type, and Hunter has his sire's solid front, good bone and substance to complement Evie's smoothness, squareness and balanced angulation. This litter pulls in both Abe and Travis, Am/Can Ch. BJay's Traveling Man - a combination which has "nicked" well in the past.

Hutner and Evie have both been Dopplered and Holtered, and tested for DM, ARVC-1, and thyroid function. This breeding could produce brindles or fawns - we know Hunter carries one fawn gene, and Evie could possibly have one - with varying degrees of white markings (including a full white coat).
